Effective January 1, 2025: ASP+6% reimbursement for EXPAREL when billing with code J0666 across all outpatient surgical settings.
Postsurgical pain management is a key consideration when choosing surgical procedures performed in an ambulatory setting. EXPAREL has a broad indication for infiltration across surgical procedures and as an interscalene brachial plexus nerve block for rotator cuff repair and shoulder arthroplasty.
Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) payment methodologies vary across the United States by payer, and reimbursement for drugs and supplies are often limited or not included in a standard ASC contract.
The resources below were created to help understand and communicate the value EXPAREL can bring to the ambulatory setting.
